Looking For a Photographer?

Recently I needed to re-shoot one of my more photographically challenging listings: a penthouse suite in Vancouver. The original photographs did not capture the suite's urban industrial beauty. Nor did they convey the incredibly expansive views of False Creek and the Vancouver Skyline through the unit's floor-to-ceiling windows.

Because of the space and the the sheer amount of light and reflection this was going to be a tough photo shoot and only one person came to mind.

Martin Chung is a photographer and founder of Studio Impossible. A high-end photo company specializing the best wedding photography and professional portrait photography. Real Estate photography was something new and Martin was anxious to give test his theory that a great photographer can embrace whatever challenge is thrown at him. He did that, and so much more.

The day started off partly overcast as we set up for the shoot. First it was a general overview of the suite, then reviewing how where the best shots and angles were. Martin set up a tethered system with his laptop so that every shot he took could be shared, and any minor adjustments could be made immediately. Less than an hour later, the inside was perfectly captured and it was time to take pictures on the roof-top patio. As if by some higher power, the clouds cleared and gave us some incredible blue sky to capture the views of False Creek, the city skyline and the panorama of the North Shore Mountains.

All in all, we ended up with these amazing photos that truly showcase this unique property and had some fun in the process too.
